It provides both a slice of big city life and serene lakefront living in the heart of one of Chicago’s liveliest neighborhoods.

Just steps away from the lakefront, you’ll find Wrigley Field ballpark, restaurants and shopping, and exciting nightlife. From Italian to Thai to Fusion, ethnic restaurants abound.

The eclectic boutiques that dot the area and the diversity of the neighborhood coupled with the beauty of The New York make this area a great place to live.

The New York was constructed and open for its first occupancy in August 1987 as a rental building. In October 2000, it was converted to condominiums. In addition to the residential tower, there are three floors of commercial space housing The New York Market and the Fitness Formula Health Club as well as an attached 5-story parking garage.

The New York has a total of 594 residential units that begin on the 4th floor and go through to the 48th floor of the tower.

In addition, the 5-story parking garage has a total of 533 parking spaces, most of which are deeded spaces. The building offers amenities such as a central laundry room with 24-hour access, a party room and an on-site Management Office. In addition, there is a sundeck on the building’s rooftop.

The New York Private Residences Condominium Association has a five-member Board of Directors.  The annual meeting is held in February.  The Board of Directors’ Meeting is held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise posted.  Meetings are held at 3660 North Lake Shore Drive, 48th Floor Party Room, Chicago, IL 60613.

The Association’s fiscal year begins on January 1 and ends on December 31. While the Board of Directors provides the overall direction of the building and approval for all expenditures, the Management Office implements and enforces all policies and procedures that the Association has in effect.

As elsewhere, condominium ownership at The New York Private Residences is a shared living experience.
